On Site Gas Systems Inc has introduced a complete, turn-key, nitrogen, air and oxygen solution for laser cutting assist gas and beam purge during FabTech 2009 in Chicago. Every laser shop needs either oxygen, nitrogen, compressed air or all three to produce quality parts. The Pure ConvenienceTM O2N2 330 system includes a feed air compressor, nitrogen generator, oxygen generator, booster compressors and a single control panel for easy operation.
On Site Gas is the world leader in the design and manufacture of oxygen and nitrogen generating systems. Guy Hatch, CEO says, “We offer an extremely efficient product line for beam purge or cutting assist gases at an incredibly attractive price making it convenient to produce nitrogen or oxygen in-house and reduce operating expense.”
The Pure ConvenienceTM O2N2 330 was developed in cooperation with Trumpf to operate in tandem with the new Trumpf TruLaser 1030, but can feed the entire TruLaser product line for a complete laser cutting solution. It produces nitrogen, oxygen, or air at the required purity level and pressure for assist gas as well as beam purge providing the greatest flexibility, capability and capacity.
“Generating nitrogen or oxygen at your shop will save 50-70% immediately on your gas cost,“ says Bob Wolff, VP of Sales, “and the more you use the greater the savings”. The investment has an average ROI of 18-24 months and lease or rental programs are available. Maintenance is economical as the oxygen and nitrogen generators only require a simple periodic filter change.
The system is an on-demand generating system that allows you to be independent of the gas company. This means no downtime, no delays from late gas deliveries, and no hassle of changing out cylinders or dewers. It can run three shifts a day, seven days a week providing self reliance, production cost control and schedule flexibility.
The O2N2 330 modular design enables the customer to remove components that are not needed such as the oxygen system if they don’t use much or the compressor if they already have an adequate air supply. Both the nitrogen and oxygen systems utilize the most efficient technology, PSA Technology (Pressure Swing Adsorption), for the lowest operating cost versus other gas generating methods. PSA technology works by feeding compressed air into one of two sieve beds which starts the process of separating and capturing either the nitrogen or oxygen molecules. After the first sieve cycle is complete the air supply “swings” to the second sieve bed, repeating the process.
