Heat treating customer installs on site nitrogen gas generator

AEM Cores of South Australia successfully switched their gas over from liquid nitrogen to on site generated nitrogen using one of On Site Gas Systems high purity PSA nitrogen gas generators.

On Site Gas Systems supplied one of their PSA nitrogen generators at 99.999% purity (10PPM), a nitrogen buffer tank and also a failover system that sees the customers gas supply automatically switch to cryogenic gas in the event of any issue with their generated gas.

The automated switch over to cryogenic gas is based both on the pressure and also the purity readings taken from the generated gas.  There is also a custom alarm indicator box that is mounted high on the PSA cabinet that will illuminate indicator lights to show the system is getting close to or has switched to back up gas.  This alarm box was built and positioned so the customer could see the indicators from most places on their factory floor.

The system was installed in early 2010 and since initial commissioning (to the time of writing this in July 2010) there has been 100% up time and the back up gas has not been used saving the customer substantial sums of money.
